The Eye Color Textures

KATE The Eye Color comes in seven textures: Matte, Pearl, Glitter, Prism Crush, Creamy Touch, See-Through Glow and Marble Ink. The letters before each shade number show the texture, except for the original three-digit shades, which come in Matte, Pearl and Glitter.

KATE says Marble Ink mixes three colours in one pan for depth in a single sweep, with muted marble colours you can wear alone or with other shades. Five matte shades contain pearl: M108, M113 and the new 072, 073 and 074.

How to Build Your Own The Eye Color Palette

To build a The Eye Color palette, choose your shades, push each one out of its own container and press it into The Eye Color Case. KATE explains the steps on Kao’s official shop:

1. Take the shade out. Push the pan up through the hole in the back of its container with the tip of a pin, and hold it firmly on its side.
2. Set it in the case. Fit it into the case and press lightly around the edges, without touching the eyeshadow.
3. Swap shades. When a shade runs out, push it out through the hole in the back of the case the same way and set a new one.
