Terms of Service

1. Who we are

kachishop is operated by Act Inc. (“we”, “us”), a company registered in Japan. Representative: Koh Sawano. Contact: [email protected]. Our registered address and phone number are disclosed on request. The Japanese-law disclosure required for online sellers is at 特定商取引法に基づく表記.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older to create an account and place orders. You need to confirm your email address before you can sign in or buy. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity under your account. Give us accurate contact and shipping details — we ship to the address you enter and cannot recover parcels sent to a wrong address.

3. Orders and prices

Prices are shown and charged in the currency of your shipping destination and include our service. Shipping is calculated at checkout from the weight of your items and shown before you pay. Import duties and taxes are not included (see section 6). An order is accepted when you receive our order confirmation email. We may cancel an order and refund you in full if an item has sold out, the price was clearly wrong, or we cannot ship to your address.

4. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link, processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. Your card statement will show a charge from kachicollect in your local currency; your card issuer may apply its own conversion fee if the card is in another currency.

5. Shipping and delivery

Orders ship from Japan by Japan Post, usually within 3 business days of payment. Pre-owned cameras and magazine freebies are bought from the shop or publisher for your order and may take a few extra days. Typical delivery is 7–14 days to the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, 4–8 days to South Korea, and to France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Monaco and Switzerland; parcels over 2 kg go by EMS (3–7 days). Every parcel is tracked and the tracking number is emailed to you. Delivery times are estimates; customs inspection, holidays and weather can add days.

6. Customs, duties and import rules

You are the importer of record. Import duties, VAT/GST and any customs or courier handling fees charged by your country are paid by you on delivery and are not included in our prices. We show an estimate in your cart based on your country’s published rates and thresholds; the final amount is set by your customs authority. We declare the contents and value of every parcel accurately and cannot mark parcels as gifts or lower the declared value. Some products (for example medicines and some cosmetics) are restricted in certain countries; we hide or block those items for the affected destination, and it is your responsibility to check that what you order is allowed where you live.

7. Product information

All products are genuine items sold in Japan and are intended for the Japanese market: packaging, instructions and ingredient lists are in Japanese, and voltages, plugs and warranties follow Japanese standards. Our English and Thai descriptions are provided for convenience; where they differ from the Japanese packaging, the Japanese original applies. Food and drinks are shipped with a reasonable remaining shelf life but best-before dates may be shorter than you are used to. Cosmetics are for personal use; please check ingredients if you have allergies. Product photos may show a different colour or edition from the item shipped.

8. Pre-owned cameras

Pre-owned cameras are one-of-a-kind items sourced from specialist used-camera shops in Japan. The condition grade (AA, A, AB, B, C) and the photos are those provided by the shop. Unless the listing says otherwise, a camera comes with the accessories shown in the shop’s photos only; batteries, chargers, memory cards and manuals may not be included. These items carry no manufacturer warranty. If a camera arrives damaged or does not power on, contact us within 7 days of delivery (see Refund Policy). Normal signs of use consistent with the stated grade are not defects.

9. Magazine freebies and limited items

Magazines with freebies (furoku) and other limited items are sold while stocks last in Japan. If we cannot obtain an item after you order, we will cancel that item and refund it in full.

10. Personal shopper requests

If you send us a link to a product we do not list, we will check availability and email you a quote. A quote is valid for 72 hours and is not an order until you pay. Once you pay, we buy the item for you and the request can no longer be cancelled. Items bought on request follow the same shipping, customs and refund rules as other orders.

11. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Because we purchase and pack your items as soon as you pay, all sales are final except in the cases set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy: items that arrive damaged, defective, wrong or lost in transit are refunded or resent at no cost to you.

12. Coupons and promotions

Coupons are for personal use, cannot be exchanged for cash and expire on the date shown in your account. Product coupons apply to product prices (not to Characters items); shipping coupons apply to the shipping charge. Only one coupon can be used per order. We may withdraw a promotion at any time if it is misused.

Invite friends: when a new customer signs up with your invite link, confirms their email and saves their delivery address, you receive a shipping coupon. Rewards are limited to 20 per year. Invites to yourself, or to accounts sharing your phone number or address, do not qualify. We may cancel rewards obtained through fake or duplicate accounts.

13. Acceptable use

You agree not to resell items bought on kachishop as a business without our written consent, not to place orders with false details or stolen payment methods, not to attempt to bypass import restrictions, and not to interfere with the site or copy its content or data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

14. Intellectual property

The kachicollect and kachishop names, logos and site design belong to Act Inc. Product names, brands and photos belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the products we sell.

15. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, or for delays and losses caused by customs, carriers, or events outside our reasonable control.

16. Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute that cannot be settled by talking to us will be brought before the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you have under the laws of your country of residence. The English version of these terms is the binding version; translations are provided for convenience.

17. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version; changes apply to orders placed after that date.
