Frequently asked questions

I didn't get the confirmation email when I signed up.

Check your spam or promotions folder for an email from kachishop. On the sign-in page, enter your email and password again and we will send a new link, or use the “Resend confirmation email” button. Links expire after 1 hour. If nothing arrives after 10 minutes, email us and we will confirm your account by hand.

I forgot my password.

Use “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page. We email you a link that is valid for 1 hour. New passwords need 8+ characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number.

How do I pay, and in which currency?

Prices are shown and charged in the currency of your shipping country (PHP, SGD, MYR, THB, EUR, CHF, CAD or KRW). You can pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.

Will I pay customs duties or tax?

It depends on your country and the value of the parcel. The Philippines (up to ₱10,000), Singapore (up to S$400) and Malaysia (up to RM500) charge nothing under their thresholds. Indonesia and Thailand tax most parcels. In France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco (EU), import VAT applies from the first euro, plus a €3 customs duty per product type on parcels up to €150 and a postal handling fee. Switzerland charges no VAT if it would be CHF 5 or less (goods up to about CHF 62); above that, 8.1% VAT plus a Swiss Post fee. Your cart shows an estimate before you pay; the final amount is decided by your customs office and is paid on delivery. We declare the real contents and value of every parcel.

Shipping to Korea: what is the PCCC (개인통관고유부호)?

Korean customs needs the recipient’s Personal Customs Clearance Code (PCCC) for every parcel bought from abroad. It starts with P followed by 12 digits, and you can get it free in a few minutes at unipass.customs.go.kr (개인통관고유부호 발급). Add it, with your name in Korean as registered, to your address in My Page before paying. Customs checks that your name, mobile number and delivery postal code match what you registered, so use the same details (you can register up to 20 addresses). Codes issued from 2026 are valid for 1 year and must be renewed. Without a valid code your parcel is held at customs until you submit it.

How long does delivery take?

We ship from Japan within 3 business days by Japan Post with tracking. Typical delivery is 7–14 days; parcels over 2 kg go by EMS (3–7 days). Pre-owned cameras and magazine freebies take a few extra days because we buy them for your order first. Customs inspection can add time.

Where is my tracking number?

We email it when the parcel ships, and it also appears next to the order in My Page. Tracking can take a day to show the first scan. If there is no update for 10 days, contact us with your order number.

My item arrived damaged or wrong.

Sorry about that. Email or WhatsApp us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the item and the parcel. We refund or resend at no cost, and you do not need to send anything back.

Can I cancel or return an order?

Once payment is confirmed we buy and pack your items straight away, and we sell food, cosmetics and one-of-a-kind cameras, so we cannot accept cancellations or returns for change of mind. If you contact us right after ordering and we have not bought or packed your items yet, we will try to cancel, but we cannot promise it. Damaged, wrong or lost items are always refunded.

Why can't I see some products for my country?

Some products are restricted at import. Medicated patches and similar items cannot be sent to Thailand and need a permit in Malaysia and Indonesia, so we hide them for those destinations. The EU and Switzerland do not allow meat or dairy products (including instant ramen and milk chocolate) or medicines to be sent by post from Japan, so those are hidden when you ship to Europe. Cosmetics are for personal use; large quantities may be inspected by customs.

What do the camera condition grades mean?

Grades come from the Japanese specialist shop we buy from: AA (like new), A (excellent, light signs of use), AB (good, visible wear), B (used, noticeable wear, fully working), C (heavy wear or cosmetic issues, working). Unless the listing says otherwise, a camera comes with the accessories shown in the shop’s photos only — batteries, chargers, cards and manuals may not be included.

Is a pre-owned camera guaranteed?

There is no manufacturer warranty. If it arrives damaged or does not power on, tell us within 7 days and we refund you. Wear that matches the stated grade is not a defect.

The magazine freebie I want is sold out.

Magazine freebies are sold while stocks last in Japan and are not restocked. If we cannot obtain your item after you order, we cancel it and refund it in full.

How do coupons work?

Choose a coupon at checkout. Your sign-up coupon (40% OFF shipping) is added when you confirm your email and is valid for 14 days. Shipping coupons reduce the shipping charge; product coupons reduce product prices (not on Characters items). One coupon per order — coupons cannot be combined.

How does inviting friends work?

Share your invite link from My Page → Invite friends. When a friend signs up with your link, confirms their email and saves their delivery address, you get a 20% OFF shipping coupon valid for 30 days. Up to 20 coupons per year; your friend must be a new customer with their own phone number and address.

Can you get an item you don't list?

Yes. Paste the product’s URL on the “Can't find it?” page. We check availability and email you a quote within 48 hours. A quote is valid for 72 hours; once you pay, we buy the item for you and it cannot be cancelled.

I need to change my shipping address.

You can edit your address in My Page for future orders. For an order already placed, contact us immediately with your order number; we can change it only if the parcel has not shipped.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is calculated from the weight of your order and shown in your cart before you pay: Japan Post air packet with tracking (about $8–15 for a typical 300 g–1 kg parcel), EMS for parcels over 2 kg. Pre-owned cameras add the pickup cost from the shop. There is no free-shipping threshold.
