LuLuLun Precious Face Mask: GREEN vs RED vs WHITE Compared

LuLuLun Precious (ルルルンプレシャス) is LuLuLun’s daily lotion face mask series for adult skin, sold in Japan in three types: GREEN (Glow Up), RED (triple-layer moisture) and WHITE (radiance). They were renewed in late 2025, so you may know them by their former names, Balance, Moist and Clear. What Is LuLuLun Precious?

LuLuLun Precious is a line of lotion-type sheet masks for adult skin that you use every day in place of toner. All three types share the same base, which LuLuLun calls its “3D moisture design”, and differ in the extra ingredients for each skin concern. LuLuLun renewed the series in late 2025 with a new base formula, a new sheet and new names.

Don’t confuse them with LuLuLun OVER45, a separate series whose two types are also labelled Moist (Camellia Pink) and Clear (Iris Blue). “Triple-layer moisture” and “radiance” are our translations of 三層保湿 and 光彩スイッチ.

LuLuLun Precious GREEN vs RED vs WHITE

Choose GREEN for all-round care of dryness and dullness, RED for dry skin whose moisture doesn’t last, and WHITE for dullness and uneven texture. GREEN costs slightly more than RED and WHITE.

What Every LuLuLun Precious Mask Has in Common

All three Precious masks share LuLuLun’s “3D moisture design”, which it describes as three steps: give moisture, circulate it through the skin and keep it in. Each step uses a moisturising ingredient that appears near the top of all three ingredient lists.

LuLuLun lists the Precious masks as free from colourants, fragrance, mineral oil and alcohol (ethanol), and says they have passed an efficacy evaluation test for making fine lines caused by dryness less visible. All three contain parabens (methylparaben). The renewed masks use a new extra-thick, close-fitting sheet that LuLuLun says dries out more slowly and feels smoother and more cushioned than its previous sheet.

LuLuLun Precious GREEN (Glow Up, Formerly Balance)

LuLuLun Precious GREEN is the all-round type, for anyone who wants to care for dryness and dullness together or isn’t sure which concern to focus on. LuLuLun calls its formula “Glow Up”: instead of targeting one area, it aims to balance the condition of the whole skin with human-type ceramides (NP, NG and AP) and dipotassium glycyrrhizate. It also contains tomato fruit and white willow bark extracts, which LuLuLun says help skin look glossy and soften dry, rough skin, plus grape leaf extract and a Lactobacillus/aloe ferment.

LuLuLun Precious RED (Triple-Layer Moisture, Formerly Moist)

LuLuLun Precious RED is the type LuLuLun makes for thirsty skin: skin that feels dry and tight or loses moisture soon after skincare. Its “triple-layer moisture” formula combines sacran (a polysaccharide from the freshwater algae suizenji-nori), hydrolyzed collagen and low-molecular hyaluronic acid, which LuLuLun says deliver moisture deep into the stratum corneum. LuLuLun adds roselle fruit extract and hydrolyzed yeast as what it calls pre-ageing care ingredients, and the list also includes camellia seed oil.

LuLuLun Precious WHITE (Radiance, Formerly Clear)

LuLuLun Precious WHITE is the type for dullness caused by old dead skin cells and for uneven texture, for people who want glossy skin without relying on foundation. Its “radiance” formula, which LuLuLun says smooths the skin surface and gives it gloss, combines white lavender extract, a Job’s tears extract, a fermented soy milk, an oil-soluble vitamin C derivative (tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate) and a golden seaweed extract (Laminaria ochroleuca).

How to Use LuLuLun Precious

Use a Precious mask after washing your face, in place of toner, morning or night. LuLuLun’s FAQ says its lotion-type masks, including Precious, are made for daily use and should be left on for about 5 to 10 minutes.

1. Wash your face, then unfold the sheet and fit it to your eyes and mouth.
2. Press out any air and smooth the sheet over your whole face.
3. Leave it on for about 5 to 10 minutes.
4. Take it off, wipe your face with the folded sheet and pat in the essence.
5. Seal in the moisture with a milk or cream.

LuLuLun recommends storing the box at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, and advises against the fridge, where ingredients can occasionally crystallise; keep the lid facing up, and close the lid firmly after each use. LuLuLun says to use an unopened box within about 3 years of manufacture.

LuLuLun Precious vs LuLuLun Hydra

Precious is LuLuLun’s moisture-first mask for adult skin, with three types that share one base formula. LuLuLun Hydra is a separate series of eight masks, each built around one trending ingredient such as PDRN or exosome, for a specific skin concern. Precious masks also cost less per sheet in Japan: about ¥65 to ¥69 per sheet in a 32-sheet box (¥2,090 to ¥2,200), against about ¥94 to ¥98 per sheet for a 28-sheet Hydra box (¥2,640 to ¥2,750).

Where to Buy LuLuLun Precious

The easiest way to get LuLuLun Precious outside Japan is to order it from Japan through kachicollect. Is LuLuLun Precious GREEN the same as Precious Balance?
