Keana Nadeshiko is Ishizawa Lab’s pore-care brand: “keana” (毛穴) is Japanese for “pores”, and its products are made for pore concerns such as dry, open-looking pores and blackheads. Its packages feature the brand’s cartoon character, and Ishizawa Lab calls the skin it aims for “毛穴無子” (keana nashiko), a play on the brand name that its English site renders as “no pores”: skin with less noticeable pores.

Which Keana Nadeshiko Product Should You Choose?
Choose Keana Nadeshiko by pore concern: the rice series for dry skin with visible pores, the baking soda products for blackheads and clogged pores, and the Blue series for men. Ishizawa Lab matches each product to a concern as follows:
- Dry skin with visible pores: the rice series, starting with Rice Mask or Rice Cleansing Oil.
- Blackheads and clogged pores: Baking Soda Scrub Wash, Baking Soda Cleansing Gel or Baking Soda Nose Cream Pack.
- Bumpy, rough pores caused by dryness: Baking Soda Foam Wash.
- Combination skin that is dry yet oily: Tightening Mask.
- Dullness and roughness from old dead skin: Baking Soda Moist Peeling.
- Covering pores with makeup: Goodbye Pore Makeup Base or BB Cream.
- Men: the Blue series, starting with Baking Soda Face Foam for Men.
Keana Face Washes and Makeup Removers

Keana Nadeshiko’s face washes come in two families. The baking soda washes, Baking Soda Foam Wash (¥1,100), Baking Soda Scrub Wash (¥1,320) and Baking Soda Soap (¥880), are made for bumpy pores and blackheads, and Rice Powder Wash (¥1,650) is a rice powder and clay wash for dry pores. See our Keana face wash guide and Keana Baking Soda Scrub Wash guide.
For makeup, Rice Cleansing Oil (¥2,420, 145 mL) is used with dry hands and needs no second cleanse, while Baking Soda Cleansing Gel (¥1,320, 100 g) is a massage gel for clogged pores that also works with wet hands. See our Keana cleansing oil guide.
Keana Sheet Masks and Rice Skincare

Keana Rice Mask (¥715 for 10 sheets) is a thick sheet mask with Rice Serum, moisturising ingredients derived from 100% Japanese rice. Its sister, Tightening Mask, is made for combination skin with open pores. See our Keana Rice Mask guide.
The rest of the rice series, Rice Toner N, Rice Cream and the wash-off Rice Pack, builds a full routine for dry pores. See our Keana rice skincare guide.
Keana Pore Special Care: Peeling and Nose Pack
For extra pore care, the baking soda range has a peeling gel used instead of a face wash and a cream pack for the nose.
Baking Soda Moist Peeling

Baking Soda Moist Peeling (毛穴撫子 しっとりピーリング, ¥1,760, 200 mL) is a peeling gel with baking soda and nadeshiko (dianthus) extract. Ishizawa Lab says it rolls away old dead skin and dirt that cause darkened pores, dullness and roughness. On dry skin, before washing or after removing makeup, massage 3 to 5 pumps over your face, avoiding the eyes and lips, then rinse thoroughly; you don’t need a face wash afterwards. Ishizawa Lab recommends using it two or three times a week.
| Japanese name | 毛穴撫子 しっとりピーリング |
|---|---|
| Price in Japan | ¥1,760 (200 mL) |
| How often | 2–3 times a week |
- Fragrance-free
- Mineral-oil-free
- Paraben-free
Baking Soda Nose Cream Pack

Baking Soda Nose Cream Pack (毛穴撫子 小鼻つるりんクリームパック, ¥1,320, 15 g) is a cream pack for the sides of the nose. Ishizawa Lab says its baking soda softens sebum plugs and dirt, and that “suction stone” (吸引石), a mineral it describes as highly adsorbent, draws them out of the pores. After washing, apply a thick layer, about the size of an adzuki bean, to dry skin on the nose, leave it for about five minutes, then wipe it off gently with a cotton pad and continue your skincare.
| Japanese name | 毛穴撫子 小鼻つるりんクリームパック |
|---|---|
| Price in Japan | ¥1,320 (15 g) |
| How often | At least twice a week; can be used daily |
- Colourant-free
- Fragrance-free
- Mineral-oil-free
- Alcohol-free
Keana Nadeshiko Men’s Line (Blue Series)

Keana Nadeshiko’s men’s line, the Blue series (男の子シリーズ, boys’ series), has five products for men’s clogged and open-looking pores, from ¥715 to ¥1,320 in Japan: Baking Soda Face Foam for Men, Baking Soda Scrub Wash for Men N, Pore Tightening Lotion for Men N, Men’s Mask and Baking Soda Soap for Men. See our Keana for men guide.
Keana Makeup: Goodbye Pore Base and BB Cream
The makeup series has two pore-covering products with moisturising ingredients, made to blur pores while caring for the skin.
Goodbye Pore Makeup Base

Goodbye Pore Makeup Base (毛穴撫子 毛穴かくれんぼ下地, ¥1,925, 12 g) is a silky, airy makeup base that Ishizawa Lab says makes darkened and open pores look invisible, smooths uneven texture and lasts until evening. It contains silk, sericin, hydrolyzed silk and collagen as moisturisers. After toner, rub a small amount gently into the pores that bother you with your fingertip.
Goodbye Pore BB Cream

Goodbye Pore BB Cream (毛穴撫子 毛穴かくれんぼBBクリーム, ¥1,980, 25 g) is a BB cream that Ishizawa Lab says covers pores even when applied thinly and keeps skin looking smooth for a long time, with plenty of moisturising ingredients. It comes in Pink Ochre and Ochre. After toner, spread it from the centre of your face outwards, and dab a little at a time over visible pores.
Keana Body and Bath Care
Keana Nadeshiko’s baking soda range extends to the body. Baking Soda & Corn Body Wash Scrub (¥2,200, 280 g) is a body scrub and body wash in one with a corn-cob scrub; see the body scrub section of our Keana Baking Soda Scrub Wash guide. After Bath Oil In Spray (毛穴撫子 湯上がりスプレー, ¥2,255, 150 mL) is a moisturising spray with tamanu oil for hair, face and body, with a citrus essential-oil scent. The bath powders Baking Soda Bath (重曹つるつる風呂) and Baking Soda White Bath Kyoto (重曹白肌風呂) cost ¥220 for a 30 g packet. Keana Nadeshiko also has an oral-care line, NADESHIKO Dentist (歯磨撫子), with toothpaste and mouthwash, and a bath line, NADESHIKO Onsen (温泉撫子); this guide focuses on skincare, makeup and body care.
