What Is Keana Rice Skincare?

Keana rice skincare is a six-product moisturising line for “dry pores” from Keana Nadeshiko, Ishizawa Laboratories’ pore-care brand: Ishizawa Lab says dry skin loses its smooth texture and bounce, leaving pores looking open. What Is Rice Serum?

Rice Serum (ライスセラム®) is Ishizawa Lab’s name for four moisturising ingredients derived from 100% Japanese rice, used across the series. On its English site, Ishizawa Lab sums them up as Fermented Rice Liquid (moisturise), Rice Bran Oil (plump up), Rice Ceramides (condition) and Rice Bran Extract (texturise).

Step 3: Keana Rice Toner N

Keana Rice Toner N (毛穴撫子 お米の化粧水N, ¥1,760, 300 mL) is a watery toner with Rice Serum. Ishizawa Lab says it blends gently into dry skin and soaks into the outer layer of the skin, smoothing texture for plumper, bouncier skin. Besides Rice Serum, it contains hyaluronic acids, honey and artichoke leaf extract.

Keana Rice Pack: How to Use the Wash-Off Rice Pack

Keana Rice Pack (毛穴撫子 お米のパック, ¥1,375, 170 g) is a wash-off cream pack: spread a thick layer on a freshly washed, lightly dried face, leave it for about 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

The white pack, which Ishizawa Lab compares to freshly cooked rice, is made for dull, uneven-looking pores caused by dryness. Ishizawa Lab says it clears dullness (caused by old dead skin cells and dirt) and, once rinsed off, leaves skin looking smooth and bright with an even texture (through its moisturising effect). It contains Rice Serum, shea butter and artichoke leaf extract.

2. Wash (optional): Rice Powder Wash. Ishizawa Lab says you don’t need to double cleanse after Rice Cleansing Oil.
3. Special care (optional): use Rice Pack for about five minutes and rinse, or Rice Mask for about five minutes without rinsing. Rice Mask can also be used after toner.
4. Toner: press in Rice Toner N.
5. Cream: finish with a small amount of Rice Cream.
